Contemporary drawing magazine HB is launching a crowdfunding campaign to produce two more issues, #4 and #5, in Spring and Fall of 2015.
This campaign will take place from October 9th to November 20th. By donating $10 to $1,300, art lovers and HB fans will directly contribute to the production of our next two issues, and have the chance to choose a gift from an attractive selection of original drawings, limited-edition multiples, and publications.
We will conclude the campaign with a festive event that will take place on November 19th at Joyce Yahouda Gallery. Donors will be invited to celebrate with us, retrieve their gifts, and meet several of the artists involved with HB. Door prizes will also be proposed.
We gratefully thank the artists who are contributing to this campaign : Guillaume Adjutor-Provost, Shuvinai Ashoona, Elmyna Bouchard, Raimond Chaves, Claudia del Río, Lucas di Pascuale, Mario Doucette, Josée Dubeau, Bernard Gamoy, Hugo Gaudet-Dion, Powerpaola, Massimo Guerrera, Jim Holyoak, Sophie Jodoin, Kim Kielhofner, Harmony Korine, Fred Laforge, Gwenessa Lam, Pierre Lapointe, Jean-Michel Leclerc, Jennifer Lefort, Martin Lord, Maria Luque, Gilda Mantilla, Afshin Matlabi, François Morelli, Adrian Norvid, Julie Ouellet, Alisha Piercy, Coco Riot, Emilie Roby, Matt Shane, Carl Trahan, Max Wyse, and Balint Zsako.

Support HB and contribute directly to the promotion of Québec and Canadian artists
HB is the only magazine in Québec and Canada devoted exclusively to drawing. It is distinguished from other art periodicals through its focus on the artworks themselves. Each issue is a portable exhibition on paper comprising a selection of magnificent drawings by 10 to 15 artists principally from Québec and Canada. HB is a local publication, printed and bound in Canada.
By presenting works by both emerging and established artists, HB allows readers to discover new practices and become (re)acquainted with key actors in contemporary art in Québec and Canada. HB widely disseminates the work of these artists in several bookstores, art centres, galleries, and museums in Québec and Ontario, as well as New York, Paris, London and Bogotá. To date, we have presented extraordinary work by almost 40 artists.
Although HB is supported by both the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and the Conseil des arts de Montréal—to whom we we are most grateful—we request your help to reach the amount we need to continue the production of this publication.

ABOUT HB
HB is a Québec-Canadian magazine dedicated to contemporary drawing. We showcase the work of a wide range of artists, from the hard-to-miss who have made their mark on the artistic landscape and continue to shape it; to marginalised artists; young artists whose practices move and provoke; artists who draw in hiding; and artists who by sheer misfortune have as yet enjoyed little exposure. HB is structured so that each page is one of a series of visual sequences. Therein HB is a a space for exchange which gives precedence to imagery over text.
HB was initiated and continues to be produced by Arprim, articule, AXENÉO7, Centre CLARK, Joyce Yahouda Gallery, and Galerie SAW Gallery, all who disseminate, promote and support contemporary practices in the visual arts.
