In addition to her solo exhibition Rural Glamor, presented at Rats9 as part of this year's edition of the Qouleur Festival, Anelys Wolf will be giving a talk at articule on her project Rural Glamor from a very Southern América, an initiative that incorporates the mediums of painting and photography and explores the homoerotic gaze in 1970s rural Latin America.

Anelys Wolf lives in Chiloé, an island in southern Chile. Due to the conservatism of the region she finds herself unable to present, at home, a project that exposes taboo queer gazes. Discussing Rural Glamor from a very Southern América at articule will allow Anelys to approach this subject in a creative and safe space and will be an opportunity to develop this important thematic in her practice.

Anelys Wolf holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art from the Universidad de Chile in Santiago. Based in Chiloé, she has exhibited locally and internationally showing her work in cities that include Bordeaux, Paris, Lisbon, Palma de Mallorca and Vienna. Her recent project series include Glamour Chileno, Album de Provincia (2013-2014) and Relaciones Secretas (2010) presented at the Galerie Lemniscate within the context of the Latin-American Film Festival in Toulouse. www.anelyswolf.com
